Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

LGBTQ+ Inclusion

The Practice holds the ‘Gold Standard Certificate for the inclusion of Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Trans patients within our community.

We were the first surgery to achieve this level in the city any are proud to be making changes to be able to support and improve the experience of our LGBT patients.

Green Impact for Health

We are pleased to announce we have been presented with a Green Impact Bronze Aware for our contributions to the NHS Greener Plan.

This practice is delighted to be signed up to the Green Impact for Health toolkit and is actively taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint.

The climate emergency is also a health emergency, and healthcare in the UK contributed to 5.4% of the UK's carbon emissions. We need to enhance the health of our current population without compromising the health of future generations and this means operating within the sustainable boundaries of the planet.

Fortunately, most of the solutions for the planet also make our health better - for example eating mainly a plant based diet, engaging in active travel and exercise in nature, avoiding smoking and reducing pollution all enhance our health and reduce our need for medications, with further benefits to the NHS, your health and the carbon footprint of healthcare.

Practice Information

Patient Participation Group

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients and staff from the surgeries of the Stanford Medical Centre who meet several times a year. The aim of the PPG is to improve services for patients by giving them a voice in the development of a positive working environment for all the Practice staff and the organisation of patient care. You can find out more here

Friends and Family Test

We welcome feedback to tell us what we are doing right and what we can improve. Take the Friends and Family Test

Training Practice

The practice is a training practice and regularly has medical students working at the practice to aid training, but patients never have to be seen by students if they do not wish to, just inform reception that you would like to see a doctor.

We also often have registrars who are qualified doctors training to be GPs in the practice. From time to time they request to video a consultation but there is no obligation to do this and they will be happy not to if requested.

GP Patient Survey

The GP Patient Survey is an independent survey run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England. The survey is sent out to over two million people across England. The results show how people feel about their GP practice.
