Named GP

You may be aware that all practices are required to provide all their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that their surgery provides to them.  All patients registered at Stanford Medical Centre already have a named GP though this may not be the GP that you regularly see, or have ever seen.

Your named GP will have overall responsibility for the care and support that we provide to you. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do.

You do not need to take any further action, but if you have any questions, or wish to discuss this further with us, please contact us at the above numbers or email us at BHCCG.StanfordMedicalCentre@nhs.net

Community Midwives

The midwives hold clinics each week to provide patients with antenatal care. Appointments in these clinics are made through the surgery. To contact the midwives phone 01273 664794 between 10:00 and 16:00 weekdays or 01273 664794 (Royal Sussex County Hospital - Level 13) at other times.

Community Nurses

The nurses care for patients in their own homes when they are too ill or frail to attend surgery. They also offer support to families and carers. They are experts in the field of wound care, leg ulcers and the care of the chronic and terminally ill. They are also happy to give advice on health matters and liaise with other agencies and services.

Please phone 01273 260034 between 08:00 and 09:30 and 14:30 and 16:30 to contact them or leave a message on their answerphone. To speak to a nurse urgently Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 16:30, call 01273 260010. At all other times, including bank holidays, call 01273 693600.
